Wolseley led the British Expeditionary Force and invaded the Ashanti

Indies. The British Force of 4,000 men fought their way
to the Ashanti capital Kumasi, including he battle of Amoafo and the
battle of Ordahsu. The the British Victories, the Ashanti King
signed the treaty of Fomena on the 14th march 1874
